About Us
I Think It’s Time for a Plastic-Free Scotland
My mission is to ban the use of single-use plastics across Scotland. With signatures from as many people as possible, I’d like to commit to preserving our oceans, safeguarding our wildlife and maintaining the beauty of our coastlines.

Says Who?
‘Make Scotland Plastic Free’ is run and managed by me, with input from my mum and my cat. It’s born from a love for the animals that I’ve been lucky enough to grow up around, and the desire I have for more people to see and understand that love. I live in a super remote area, so spend lots of time on buses listening to the news and thinking about life.

ABOUT ME:
My name is Tabby; I’m a teenager born and raised on an island off the west coast of Scotland with a huge passion for wildlife and an interest in making change. I attend High school (blah) and ride horses in my free time (yay).
Having walked the beaches and coastlines of my little island for my entire life, I see the worsening impact of human activities every day, only becoming more and more obvious as I get older despite the increasing talk climate action. But no level of beach cleans are going to make the sort of difference that is desperately needed. Instead of adapting to the effects of anthropogenic activities, we need to mitigate the source- which is (hopefully) where this project comes in.
